Research Opportunities

Research Opportunities

We have now completed our initial work on ‘Connected with the Clyde’, the first project to be undertaken within the Discovering the Clyde Programme.  This project saw team members walking the length of the river, from source to sea, to check the existing site records in Canmore – the online national database – and to identify additional sites which should be added. Around 370 new site records have been created, greatly expanding our coverage of the area.  See the results: Connected With the Clyde: Findings

Connected with the Clyde has not only strengthened our core information, it has helped stimulate new ideas about different topics for research.  We asked project staff to put together their thinking, and this report is the result: Research Opportunities

This is where you come in!  There are lots of interesting ideas here. The Programme will only be able to tackle a few of them, but perhaps the ideas will excite or interest some of our readers, colleagues and communities.  If our report inspires you to consider embarking on research or on practical recording of sites, please get in touch with us.  We’d love to hear your ideas and your findings, and to see how we might be able to help.
